I Have News... So I Have Returned.

I put up a good fight at staying away from any kind of writing online but you know… I miss it. I probably miss it most because it put my own thoughts in order and if anybody else got a kick out of it along the way, that’s a real bonus.

Anyway… news. There is some. A few weeks back, my buddy J called me up to see if I wanted a slot on an internet radio station. Of course I do! Who wouldn't. So…

Starfish and Coffee Radio can be found broadcasting on Juice - a Liverpool based station… if you can actually be based somewhere on the internet. The show is on air from 10pm to 11pm on a Sunday. There’s no repeats so if you miss it, you miss it. I do of course have copies but in the spirit of radio broadcasting, I won’t be posting them anywhere for repeat listens, so please tune in if you’re into such a thing. It’s got to be better than getting fat in front of some crappy Netflix show.

What can you expect? Well, I simply like great songs and I’m totally over that whole ‘genre’ nonsense but if there’s a job to do in amongst stacking up a bunch of great tunes, it would be to flash things in front of your face that you might not have heard before because sometimes there’s nothing better than discovering a new artist whether they split up 40 years ago or formed last week.

At some point in the near future (like, before the end of the year), I’ll cross it over with the podcast, so future guests will also be ‘coerced’ into contributing to the show and what I’d really like is for new artists to record acoustic sessions that we can play exclusively and get some kind of ‘thing’ going that makes it more than a radio show… but one step a time huh.

That’s all I’ve got but it’s more than I had last week!

Hmmm… maybe I won’t abandon this place after all.
